How to delete history search items from your Google tool bar?

To delete history search items from your google tool bar, select "Clear Search History" from the drop down box.

If you don't want your search items to be remembered by your browser, in my case, firefox, Go to Tools, then select "Options", highlight "Privacy" tab, uncheck "Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar".
